Thousands of TikTokers flee to Xiaohongshu (RedNote)

The app stores sudden new chart topper, referred to as RedNote, is the most recent safety net for many TikTok users in anticipation of a TikTok ban on January 19th. The Chinese app has over 300m users and isn’t the most English-friendly app, but that hasn’t stopped TikTok “refugees” from getting on board. So why Rednote?
